According to IRN news, online submission of citizenship applications became mandatory for lawyers and solicitors after 1st december 2023.

The Citizenship Application System became available exclusively for lawyers and solicitors in Portugal and up to date have been submitted around 14.700 online requests.

Platform is accessed with digital certificate authentication by Portuguese Bar Association and alows these professionals to submit citizenship requests, to consult all pending processes status and to manage the applications until their final decision.
