The Resolution of the Council of Ministers approving the state’s compensation liability for the death of Ukrainian citizen Ihor Homeniuk in its custody and in public facilities has been published in the Diário da República.

This instrument enshrines the assumption by the State of the responsibility for reparation for the damage suffered by the death of this citizen, determining that the amount of compensation that may be determined by the Provedora de Justiça will be borne by the budget of the Service of Foreigners and Borders (SEF), with the right of return on those who become responsible in criminal proceedings.
